Four Kentucky School Boys Die In Wreck
Four Ghent Elementary School basketball players were killed or died from injuries after a borrowed car crashed into a parked truck near Carrollton Kentucky. Three died at the scene while a fourth died in Louisville hospital. Coroner C D Graham identified the deceased as John Humble 14 Donald Layton 15 and Delbert L Winburn 15 Norvin Layton 14 died in Norton Memorial Infirmary Louisville from a skull fracture. Capt Kurt Carlsen told a Palmouth crowd how he battled the Atlantic for a week after abandoning the Flying Enterprise on December 29.
