President Harding directs American forces to withdraw from the Rhine area. Transportation teams in New York are mobilized to pickup United States soldiers stationed abroad for return home.

Lithuanian regiments cross eastern Prussia toward Memel to occupy the area. French officials regret Harding's order to withdraw American troops from Germany while Paris contemplates Ruhr valley occupation.

Mrs Barbara Anne Solenberger of 431 Clarke Street died after a long illness with pneumonia. A fractured hip from a fall led to confinement and illness, with funeral services planned for Thursday at 2 pm. She was 82, born near Chambersburg, Pa, in 1840, and survived by three sons, two daughters, a brother, a sister, 25 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Ministers from the Church of the Brethren will conduct the service at Mount Hebron Cemetery, with six grandsons as pallbearers.
Robert Barrett a well known farmer in the northern county area died Monday at his DeHaven home from paralysis after a week illness. He was about 77, survived by a widow and four children. Funeral held at Pine Grove Church at 2 PM with Rev. P J Lawrence officiating. burial in the church cemetery.

In Woodstock this morning the case against Frank Orndorff, linked to an eight thousand dollar Rogers estate dispute, collapsed as witnesses learned no trial would proceed. Testimony suggested Rogers signature on the agreement was forged. a grand jury had indicted Orndorff on that charge.
The Partners and Merchants National Bank elected directors Grecard Cormac Scott Grant W Haddox Robert Barton and H Byrd. Dr William P McGuire was reelected president with John Keating and H D Fuller as vice presidents. Keating arrived from Cumberland Md and attended the director meeting. The bank reports deposits near 1.9 million with no loan losses in 1922 despite tight finances.
The bank announces the Christmas Savings Club remains open for enrollment about a week longer. It urges readers to join for the coming year and expresses hope you will participate. Mr. J. Henkle Henry left for Hagerstown Maryland to visit Al. G. Fields tonight.
