Charles Edgar Clapp 55 a traveling freight agent for Cumberland Valley Railroad died at 653 Oak Hill avenue Hagerstown from heart trouble. A Winchester native who moved to Hagerstown 38 years ago he rose from clerk to traveling freight agent. He was active at St Pauls M E Church and remembered for cheer and courtesy. He leaves a widow a brother and a sister-in-law. Services were held at his home with Rev Bayley and burial followed at Rose Hill Cemetery.
