Four jailed teenagers in Payson Arizona died from carbon monoxide poisoning authorities ruled. Gila County pathologist Dr. Alfred D Musgrave determined the cause and the investigation into the jail’s butane gas heating system continued amid injuries to two investigators and rescue personnel.

Ann Carson Dutton of Front Royal Virginia widow of Dr Benjamin Blanton Dutton died today at Winchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Ireland she settled in Front Royal in 1908 and trained as a nurse at Winchester Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, later serving as head of the surgical department and assistant superintendent. She served with British Base Hospital in World War I earning the Royal Red Cross and returned to work until 1922. She remarried in 1922 and later held the Queen and Her Court director post for the Apple Blossom Festival from 1943 to 1947.
