Ambrose Knight Dies at 82 in Luray Veteran Tanner

Death of Mrs. Mary Luckett Miller in Washington
Mrs. Mary Luckett Miller widow of Lewis Miller of Frederick County died at her niece Mrs. W. H. Wanamaker’s home in Washington on Saturday age about seventy. A Loudoun native from a prominent Middleburg family she was sister-in-law of the late Col. William W. Glass and step-mother of Waver Miller of Opequon. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church Winchester. Funeral services were held Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Wanamaker residence and the remains buried today in Middleburg, Va cemetery.

Foreman to Serve Time in Convict Road Camp

Death of George H Shaver Linked to Rabies Bite
George H Shaver of Harrisonburg died after a rabid dog bite and a Pasteur treatment period. He was 38, born Mount Jackson, married to Luella Marston, and survived by his widow and mother Miss Novella Tibbins. He had been bitten February 10 and traveled to Washington for treatment with ten others. The State Board of Health team treated him and nine others, with the doctor noting the bite may have contributed but was not the principal cause.

State College Pa Feb 21 George H Marsh and Roland S Pennington of Delaware County were electrocuted in the western penitentiary death house at Rockview at dawn for murdering Lewis Pinkerton over two years ago. It was the first double execution under the electric chair law.

Orchard Manager Frozen To Death In West Virginia
CHARLESTOWN W Va Feb 21 -8 F Barnes manager of Green Hill Orchard Company disappeared from his home near Charlestown on February 6 and was found dead in an unoccupied house about one and a half miles from his home several days ago. His body was frozen. He kept back quarters and at first the impression was that he had gone to his home in Pennsylvania. He was about 66 years old.
