Man Admits Killing Meyer Girl and Hiding Body in Well
Alexander Meyer a 20 year old farmer from Cornog near Downingtown told state police he accidentally ran down Helen Meyer nine days earlier and hid her body in a well on his property. He dynamited the well top to conceal evidence and agreed to lead investigators to the grave. He was arrested in Philadelphia while delivering milk. He had previously served time for wounding two girls on the farm. The case has drawn wide local effort to locate the missing girl.

Mrs. Ella V Grim widow of J D Grim died this morning at the home of her son in law and daughter Emmett L Henry 320 South Loudoun street in her eightieth year after a severe heart attack. Born May 16 1857 she was the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Harvey Grove her father served in the Civil War and was killed at Gettysburg. She was active in Centenary Reformed Church auxiliary but had stayed close to home due to heart trouble. Funeral details not provided.
