Smithey and Boynton of Roanoke design the brick Williamsburg style Winchester Frederick jail to be built on the present site. The jail will hold 44 to 52 prisoners, occupy 81 500 cubic feet, and front Cameron and Cecil streets with a two story administration block and a one story cell block. Cost estimated around 70 000 dollars with 39 600 set by the city and 40 000 by the county. The plan includes laundry facilities and juvenile detention provisions.

British recluse leaves $20000 to Greta Garbo in Michigan
Edgar H. Donne a 70 year old Briton who died last October in a single room shack near Allegan Michigan left his entire estate valued at 20000 dollars to Greta Louisa Gustafson known as Greta Garbo. The will names his land securities jewelry cash and other property for the actress with a probate hearing set for March 3. Securities and jewelry valued at 15000 dollars are held in a London bank and Donne owned 180 acres of Allegan county land along with 880 dollars in U. S. bonds. The state Public Administrator says an official inquiry is underway.

Trains Wreck Near Horseshoe Curve Killing Twenty
The Red Arrow passenger train from Detroit to New York derailed near Horseshoe Curve Bennington Curve at 3 25 am. Two engines and multiple cars plunged down a 150 foot embankment.
