Death of Mt. Rainier Md. native W. Scott Brown
Word came from Winchester that W Scott Brown of Mount Rainier Maryland died at home early yesterday after a yearlong illness. He was over eighty, brother of the late Albert C Brown and uncle of Carl R Ritter and Lawrence D P D Ritter. Burial will be in Front Royal Virginia where he lived before moving to Mt Rainier. He had run retail delicatessen stores in Washington for twenty years and leaves a large Virginia area family. Funeral services set for 2 oclock Sunday afternoon.

Fire damages East Monmouth Street home

Fire destroys Lutheran Church in Shepherdstown
A fire from nine last night wiped out the Lutheran Church near the Norfolk and Western tracks in Shepherdstown.
