Fatal Strasburg farmhouse fire claims two lives
A blaze near Strasburg destroyed a two story farmhouse of Curtis Samuel Carrier and his wife Jean. Curtis died in the fire at 31 and Jean at about 25. Their son Robert 3 and mother Mattie Carrier were injured and treated at Memorial Hospital. Mrs Carrier died at 5 20 am. Fire origin undetermined. Witnesses say Mrs Carrier saved her child before perishing. Funeral plans pending in Strasburg Riverview Cemetery.

He spent 43 years in the Methodist Church and was respected in the Baltimore Virginia Conference. Surviving are his widow.
