Floyd M Bowman long time Timberville resident and orchardist died after a battle with pneumonia. He started as a railroad telegraph operator and rose to leadership in horticulture tissue. He served on the Farmers and Merchants Bank board and held roles in local churches and the Virginia State Horticultural Society. He left a widow five children two sisters and two brothers. Funeral will be Wednesday at his Timberville home conducted by Rev Graves and Rev Glick.
