Petitioners from Stonewall district presented 92 signatures to the Frederick County Board of Supervisors urging immediate construction of a high school. Mrs Wright led the delegation and cited county standings and 1923 24 school board sessions in support of the proposal.
A delegation led by Mrs. H. A. Punk requests continued funding for the Home Demonstration Agent. Miss Madeline Blair notes that 4-H girls gain instruction from the program and that home economics is taught only in higher grades, not in all schools.
Frederick county records show the county school board paid 103574.03 dollars for Handley High School tuition in Winchester. Parents contributed a large additional sum. In 1933 34 the county paid 12444.42 dollars the largest single year total. Mrs Wright noted more funds have since been spent.

Rich mond Va Feb 12 Burr P Harrison who represents Clarke Frederick Shenandoah counties and the City of Winchester is the seventh in a direct Harrison line to serve in the Virginia legislature. The record traces Har rison family service from 1637 through 1902 across the House of Burgesses House of Delegates and State Senate with multiple generations named Burr Mathew and Thomas W Harrison.

The Rev Joseph Wilt Bell a retired Presbyterian pastor who lived in the Armel section of Frederick County died after a year long illness. Amsterdam February 12 The 6853 ton Holland-Amerika Liner Burgerdijk was torpedoed and sunk on Saturday by a German submarine while en route from New York to Rotterdam. It went down 15 miles south of Bishops Rock off England. About 45 crew and an undisclosed number of passengers were rescued by the Holland-Amerika steamer Edam.
