A shallow temblor struck Calexico at 12:58 a.m. delivering minor damage to buildings already weakened by New Year’s Day quakes. Cornices on the Virginia Hotel collapsed, and two lighter shocks followed within minutes. Across the border, Mexicali reported two tremors, while Centre El Milagro and Brawley recorded shocks but no new damage.

State Policeman Hart In Crash Is In Serious Condition
Baltimore February 12 State Police Sergeant Charles H McCauley injured in a collision between a big motorcycle and a truck on Frederick Avenue was listed in critical condition at Franklin Square Hospital. He suffered a fractured skull a broken shoulder and probable internal injuries. Ezekiel Myers driver of the truck involved in the crash was held at the Western police station pending outcome of McCauley’s injuries.
