Denver search crews gave up hope of finding alive two skiers missing along the blizzard swept continental divide near Berthoud Pass forty miles west of Denver. Mrs. Mary Ellen Boyce 77 wife of James Boyce longtime farmer of Back Creek Frederick County died at 3 35 PM at her home after a lengthy illness. Born July 12 1860 in Pennsylvania she was the mother of 17 children. It will be the world's largest collective bargaining conference affecting about 400000 miners. The contract covers Appalachian fields from central Pennsylvania to northern Tennessee and sets pay for other soft coal workers.
