Brutal father charged after beating five year old son
Ralph Coursey a 35 year old street railway conductor is jailed awaiting coroner's jury action for the death of his five year old son Eldridge. Physicians finished an autopsy on the child this morning and Coroner George C Blades will receive the body. Coursey said he whipped the boy for disobedience using a broom handle about three feet long. The boy's mother corroborated the account. Coroner Blades called the beating revolting and the state's attorney Herbert O'Connor ordered a full investigation.

Man Charged After Alcohol Related Collision
Police arrested Robert Santmier yesterday after a collision involving his car and a vehicle driven by Mr. Carpenter with family passengers. Man Guilty in Tent Murder Case Deliberations Begin
ROMNEY W Va February Charles L Vandevender former deputy sheriff assessor and justice of the peace in Pendleton county was found guilty of first degree murder by a jury for killing Mrs Ada Hammer a widow at a religious meeting in Circleville last September.
