At Governor Holliday farm north of Lester J Milton Wilama reports a white bulldog killed 23 ewes and eight lambs and badly injured others. The dog, shot on scene, wore a black collar with Clarke county license 610. The incident and damages will be presented to the Board of Supervisors.
Washington DC resident Miss Ruth Jones will address the Home Service Section and the public on February 8 at 3 p.m. in Handley Library auditorium. The speaker is a Home Service expert and will share an inspiring message for soldiers families and all attendees.

Ancor W. Rees 62 a longtime Frederick County apple grower died in Maryland county near Winchester after years of work in the north Frederick area. He leaves a widow Miss Ha and three children Mrs Midtygaret Rees, Samuel Ellie Rees, and John Rees who served in France. He was born in Loudoun County Virginia and was a birthright member of the Society of Friends. The funeral will be held tomorrow at one o clock from his late residence with Joel Borton of New Jersey officiating. The body will be taken to Winchester for interment at Mount Hebron Cemetery. He leaves a half sister Miss William Nichols of Loudoun County Virginia.
