Ambulances and Supplies Hit In Spain Border Incident

An American-French convoy of ambulances and food trucks traveling toward Barcelona was struck at Figueras near the French border. Three people were killed and twelve seriously wounded as ten devices were reportedly dropped in the main street. The caravan included four American ambulance units and mobile hospital equipment.

Widow Mrs. Florence Willis Injured Falling at Home

Mrs. Florence Willis 85, widow of William R Willis, suffered serious injuries in a fall down a stairway at her South Cameron Street home. X rays showed a left foot fracture and a rib fracture with multiple bruises and shock. She was taken to Memorial Hospital by ambulance and her condition improved slightly later.

Man Rescued After Night Marooning On Jagged River Rock

Edward Giblin, 33, of Lowell, was found trapped on a jagged rock in the Merrimack river basin below Pawtucket Falls after going out for a walk.
