Negro Put To Death For Murder Of a Student
Ollie Dawson, 40, a Black man, was electrocuted at the state penitentiary in Richmond for the murder of James I. Howe, a woodsman and student at Greenwich Station near Norfolk. Howe was shot December 18. Dawson claimed he was present but did not fire the fatal shot. Police say Dawson confessed to a second slaying on December 6.

Bishop Cannon Charges Hearings Begin At Mount Vernon Church
Bishop James Cannon Jr. of the Methodist Episcopal Church South faced charges from four pastors as he arrived at Mount Vernon Church on crutches. The hearing, led by Bishop W. N. Boy Dies From Injuries In a Wrestling Bout
Thomas Swimley a 16 year old from Philadelphia died from injuries suffered in a wrestling bout in Philadelphia.
