Spanish War Veteran Dies At Woodstock
Charles I. Clem 68 a Spanist American War Veteran died yesterday at his Woodstock home. He served in Company A Second Virginia Volunteer Infantry under Capt J W Magruder in the war with Spain. A native of Shenandoah county he lived in Woodstock 40 years and ran a news agency before becoming a traveling salesman. He was a member of the Shenandoah Council No 205 United Commercial Travelers Harrisonburg.

Cumberland Man Kills Himself After Wrought Havoc Note
The body of Harry A. Lach about 45 was found with a bullet wound behind the head at the Algonquin Hotel Cumberland. A pistol lay nearby and he had removed bed clothing to the bathroom to deaden sound. Bluegum Escapes Injury After Car Demolished in Collision
Ed ward Bluegum Robinson a Stephens City Negro restaurateur emerged from a wreck south of Winchester without a scratch after his Pontiac struck a parked truck owned by E T Hegenner. The car catapulted over a bank and overturned. Police prepared summonses for both drivers as Robinson sought a medical checkup and was found in fine condition.
