Hit-run car suspect pleads guilty in police court
Floyd Raymond Kline of Toms Brook pleaded guilty today in police court to being the hit and run driver who damaged the city reservoir fence on Christmas Eve. Judge John Rice fined him 100 and costs. a 30 day jail sentence was suspended. State Trooper E B Mitchell and Capt F M Funk led the investigation tracing the wreck to Kline’s car. Convicts Battle To Death after Prison Break
Four inmates fled from the Colorado penitentiary after a prison break. One convict was killed and another wounded during a large manhunt nine miles east of Canon City. Police shot and killed a robber in Canon City and wounded a kidnapper in the mountains. A guard and a woman were seriously wounded as more than a dozen inmates fought their escape. Four fugitives remained at large in early morning.
