Wells and reservoirs at the Columbine coal mine in northern Colorado are patrolled by national guardsmen following an attempted poisoning of workers. A chemical analysis of water delivered to miners last week showed a large quantity of poison, Adjutant-General Paul T Newton announced.

A group of alleged yeggmen tried to rob Farmers Bank in Edinburg Shenandoah county last night.
