Bernard Margileth of Durham North Carolina was found guilty by Judge John Rice after state troopers testified he traveled 70 mph in a 55 mph zone. He was fined 25 dollars and costs. A second case, Charles Tavenner of Vienna Virginia, was fined 50 dollars and costs for hauling for hire without proper registration.
