Woman Dies In Factory Blast At Winchester Plant
In New Haven a woman and six others were injured when an explosion near a primer assembly machine blew out windows at the Winchester Repeating Arms Company. The dead woman was identified as Beatrice Simpson, 31, of New Haven. Work resumed after the blast and injuries were treated at local facilities. This was the second blast at the plant in three months, following a September 16 incident that injured 15.
