Funeral rites for Mrs. Glass will be held at 3 p m Tuesday from Loudoun Street Presbyterian Church where she was a devout member. She died at nearly 89 after a long illness following a hip fracture at Fort Loudoun. Survived by seven children, eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, and numerous relatives. She was descended from pioneer Frederick County families and veterans of the Revolution and Civil War. Burial at Loudoun Street Presbyterian Church graveyard with services by Rev F T McFaden.

Woore Given Church Cup for Service in Winchester
Frank L. Woore received a loving cup from Rev. E. T. Clark on behalf of the congregation in thanks for his church service since the year began. He has led the school from a small start to a highly organized and modern institution. Andrew Bell was elected to succeed him as secretary of the Winchester Chamber of Commerce, with the note that his retirement on December 31 marks a significant transition.

Family Burned As Oil Lamp Explodes In Home
Richard Ebersole and his wife Mrs. Dale Ebersole and their 7 month old son Boyd Richard were burned when a coal oil lamp exploded in their living room near Vaucluse late Saturday night. All three were treated at Memorial Hospital. the father left the hospital, while the mother and child remained in care with severe burns but not in serious condition. The family fought the spreading blaze, saving their home from destruction.

Upperville hunter Townsend Craun dies after skull fracture
Townsend Craun age 29 of Upperville Va died at Winchester Memorial Hospital four hours after his condition worsened. He was injured when riding with the Piedmont Hunt Club Tuesday morning near Llangolen estate when his horse and Irwin Beavers were thrown in a ravine during a chase. Craun had been unconscious since December 16 and doctors could not operate. He is survived by a wife four children and a brother J B Craun. Interment expected in Alexandria.

A car carrying Baltimore residents crashed into a stationary furniture truck near Abingdon Maryland killing Eugene Castagnera 21 Beatrice Haseni 7 and Mrs Anna Wood 19. Injured were Eileen Castagnera Marcus Wood Mary Haseni and John Carroll Hagan. The party planned Christmas with relatives in Aberdeen. Franklin Adams truck driver was not hurt.

Mountain Falls Man Attempts Mercury Poisoning
A Mountain Falls man, ar mond H Cave, entered a local headquarters with bichloride of mercury tablets and said he had taken some and wanted to die. He was disarmed and collapsed unconscious, treated at Memorial Hospital with emetics and antidotes, and is believed to have a fair chance of recovery.
