Refurbished Market Street Organ to Debut Tonight
A grand reopening concert at Market Street United Methodist Church features Swann from Riverside Church New York as organist and organ committee chair. Tickets are $3 for adults and $2 for students with open seating. The 1935 Moller organ, 22 ranks with harp and chimes, three manuals and pedal, was restored at considerable cost and preserves original tonal design by Richard Whiteley. Swann, a noted organist and educator, has extensive recital and teaching credentials and international Juror experience.

Five Church Leaders Heading for Prison
Five church leaders were sentenced by U.S. District Judge Charles R. Richey to four or five years in prison and fined $10,000 each for conspiring to steal government documents and infiltrate federal agencies. The case involved the Scientology church and Mary Sue Hubbard among those convicted, with prosecutors highlighting burglary tools found in their office.
