Badger Smoke Arrested in Frederick County Shooting Case

Badger Smoke, a well known resident of the western section, was arrested on a warrant charging him with shooting Fred Lineberg on a country road near the Northwestern grade. Lineberg was wounded in the upper right leg. Smoke waived preliminary hearing and posted 4000 bond. The case goes to the grand jury at the February term of Frederick County Circuit Court. Lineberg and Smoke had a long history of clashes.

President Wilson Endorses Fourteen Points Aboard the George Washington

President Wilson backs the fourteen points as the basis for an international settlement in a discussion with French ambassador Jusserand and Italian ambassador Count Di Celleri aboard the George Washington at sea.
