Winchester Conservation Head Appeals For Fuel Saving
John J. Scully, chairman of Winchester fuel conservation, urged citizens to conserve coal as supplies run low. Dealers report limited run of mine coal and government limits on deliveries to homes with more than ten days stock. With little stoker fuel, residents should guard remaining supply as replenishment may take time. The city has about 490 stockers, while most local industries reportedly hold several weeks of fuel.
