Elizabeth Steck Isill With Grippe Ahead Of New Year Party
Elizabeth Steck daughter of Mr and Mrs John M Steck has missed several teas and luncheons in her honor due to a severe grippe. Her condition, once serious for a day or two, shows improvement but she remains confined to her room and not yet well enough to attend functions. A Sherman home reception honored Mr and Mrs J Strother Sherman, formerly Miss Lillian Cooper, with a lively bell ringing sendoff that drew a noisy crowd outside as the couple appeared on the porch to greet guests.
