Baltimore Washington Richmond Hagerstown Martinsburg and Harrisburg police were asked to broadcast a description. Three men arrested for religious racket in Winchester
Three black men from Baltimore were arrested in Winchester after a charity scam that collected about $31 from locals. Five dollars was recovered, and the trio was banished from the city with police escort within 45 minutes. The men had claimed to represent The Bible Christian Institute of Baltimore at Home for Colored Children and used a bogus address at 720 Guilford Avenue. Funeral arrangements are complete for Mrs. Janie R. Orndorff who was shot at her Wardensville area home.
