Robert F E Aylor retires after 42 years in Frederick County Schools, serving 19 years as superintendent. Dr Merton Wright succeeds as superintendent effective tomorrow, plans for part time university extension work, and Aylor will travel before returning to part time duties.
The Little Football League opens Monday at 6 p.m. with two games to raise funds for 1968 program. Also offered are pick your own green beans at $1 per bushel Sunday and Monday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Jim Miller Farm Hanging Rock West Virginia. Vietnamese government reports say enemy mortars struck the provincial capital Hoi An, killing 15 civilians and wounding 22, then attackers burned 85 houses as two refugee camps were stormed. Earlier raids in the area killed 18 and wounded five, with 65 kidnapped. A Mekong Delta raid freed 45 government soldiers from a POW camp.

A Yellow Springs man Bruce Orndorff died in a one car crash on Rt 259 near Yellow Springs late yesterday. Vernon Hott, 34, was in critical condition at Winchester Memorial Hospital. The convertible driven by Hott went out of control at high speed on a straight stretch. The Winchester Rescue Squad treated three other Winchester men at the scene or hospital. Funeral services for Orndorff are set for Monday at Giffin Funeral Home Capon Bridge with burial at Timber Ridge Cemetery.
