Legal Action Seeks Route 50 Relocation Through Millwood Boyce
Plaintiffs challenge state highway changes to Route 50 west of the Fauquier and Loudoun line arguing constitutional and legal flaws. The suit contends routing would dam the Opequon and flood lands, create hazards from traffic, and affect property values owned by wealthy residents. Historical note mentions 1918 legislation fixing Route 50 and a 1938 act authorizing relocation within eight miles of the existing path.
