IRA Two Charged In Mountbatten Slaying In Dublin
Two Provisional IRA members Francis McGirl and Thomas McMahon were charged with the Aug 27 murder of Lord Louis Mountbatten. They appeared emotionless as they were led to a special court hearing in Dublin amid heavy security. The blast on the fishing boat near Mullaghmore, Donegal Bay, killed the 79 year old war hero.
