Gas Leak Unlikely at Fairfax Propane Cavern
Investigators from the State Corporation Commission and Fairfax County say a leak at the 13 million gallon Ravensworth underground propane storage cavern is unlikely though they continue checks. Small propane traces were found in a creek bed, likely from soil deposits via weekly cavern pump-outs, not an active leak.

County Appeals Bristol Annexation Before Virginia Supreme Court
Washington County argues errors in the Bristol annexation award justify appeal to the full Virginia Supreme Court. The county contends the 7.5 square miles awarded last October will strip sales tax revenue and other funds, and says Bristol failed to justify needs or provide adequate service plans. A decision on rehearing dates was not expected for over a month.
