Washington reports American military experts doubt Britain or France could send land forces to aid Poland in war. They foresee a European crisis with Germany attacking Poland and holding the west behind the Siegfried line while Poland defends along the Vistula. Britain and France likely rely on naval blockades and limited air support, with Italy's entry uncertain.
