Born May 3 1852 in Frederick county.

Injured In Fall In An Elevator At Haldeman Plant
Clinger Caldwell longtime worker at Haldeman Produce Company on South Kent street suffered severe injuries when a coop shifted while descending in the company elevator. His foot slipped and was mashed between the wall and elevator. no bones were broken. Dr. Robt. McC Glass treated him, and he was sent home with painful but not serious injuries. Miss Collins of Suffolk Virginia arrived to serve as simplex operator at the Western Union Telegraph office during the manager's absence.

Escaped convict seen in Winchester Sunday
A long term murder convict named John Peyton, described as five feet ten and a half inches, 217 pounds and light brown, was seen in Winchester last Sunday. He traveled with two colored friends, attended a large colored convention, and left town before detection. A reward is offered for his recapture. Peyton has been at the Fauquier county camp since 1925. He lives in Amissville, Virginia.
