Community Sing Draws Large Crowd on Court House Lawn
The War Camp Community Service hosted a well attended community sing last night from 7 30 to 8 30 on the Court House lawn with about six hundred people. The program opened with America and Keep the Home Fires Burning. Soloists Lois Tolbert and Marcellus Anderson received applause for songs including At Dawning Think of Me and The Sunshine of Your Smile. Additional numbers followed before the event paused. The service plans weekly community sings, likely Saturdays, inviting soldiers and the entire community to attend with friends.
