Organizing at Opequon saga highlighted in Massanetta pageant
The Massanetta Springs pageant honored pioneers and the history of Presbyterianism in northern Virginia. It reenacted the 1737 Opequon church organization with Rev. James Anderson and a cast including William Hoge and Jost Hite, depicting neighbors welcomed and the name chosen as Opequon. The scene ends with a prayer and a group hymn near the Opequon burying ground.
