Neanderthal Woman Skull Found in Germany Over 120000 Years Ago
In Marburg Germany anthropologist Prof Eduard Jacobshagen reports the discovery of a well preserved Neanderthal woman's skull dated to more than 120000 years ago. The skull was found by a rural schoolteacher after floods exposed it in the Hessian village of Rhuenda. The skull is estimated at 35 to 40 years at death and rests in a sinter layer marking its age.
