Five people charged in Great Train Robbery case
Five hooded suspects, three men and two women, were charged in a local magistrates court with participation in Britain's Great Train Robbery or receipt of part of the loot. One man, William Boal, denied the charges. The case ties to the Glasgow to London night mail heist eight days earlier with 2.5 million pounds taken. Police said 141,000 pounds recovered. two suitcases found near London. Suspects held until August 24 as detectives pursue remaining gang members.
