Girl and Escort Slain on Lonely Florida Beach
On an isolated beach near Ormond Florida a Georgia stenographer and her 23 year old escort were slain in a moonlit night attack. Sheriff Alex Littlefield reported two assailants killed Mary Hucks of East Point Georgia and Gregory Blount of Lexington Kentucky after a struggle on the sand. Blount lay slain on a blanket, while Hucks was found beaten with her bathing suit torn from her body. The investigation notes two killers and that the couple had met only days earlier.

Cyclist Suffers Collarbone Break After Front-Impact Collision
Lloyd Caldwell 19 of Welltown Pike sustained a broken collarbone and minor injuries after his bicycle was struck by a 1939 Oldsmobile on N Loudoun Street.
