George Romney says he will resign as secretary of housing and urban development after wrapping up last-minute duties. Of Nixon’s original Cabinet, eight have quit. with Romney gone, only Secretary of State Rogers, Defense Secretary Laird, and Transportation Secretary Volpe remain.
