The Senate Finance Committee approved about 3 billion dollars in annual personal income tax increases with withholding rising from 15 to 18 percent starting October 1. Accident Victims Return to Hospital After Fatal Crash
Two young men initially thought unharmed after a Martinsburg Pike crash that killed two and badly injured a third have returned to hospital. Donald Lee Baughman, 17, with two broken vertebrae, will be cast next week and bedfast at Maplewood Nursing Home. Charles Sanderlin, 21, of 121 E James Street, also returned for treatment with back injuries reported. The injured were ejected from Leelon Ray McNealy’s car, which left Route 11 and overturned on a rocky embankment. McNealy remains in critical condition at the Baker VA Center in Martinsburg with a fractured vertebra and shock. Pollard and Braithwaite were killed.
