Virginia apple grading law puts labeling in every package
Virginia enacts a new apple grading law effective August 1 requiring closed packages to show variety, minimum size, grade, name and address and container size. The State Department of Agriculture mailed rules to growers and will hold meetings to explain duties, with cooperation urged from growers, county agents, and the Virginia State Horticultural Society.
