Winchester Frederick County Exemption Call For Physical Exam
List of sixty local men called for a physical examination to meet the Winchester and Frederick county quota for the National Army. The notice urges claims for exemption be filed within seven days, outlines penalties under the 1917 Selective Service law, and lists names and addresses of those summoned for August 8, 1917, at 9 a.m. at the old courthouse in Winchester.
