District Attorney Newcombe told the jury Snyder was "slated for death" as he opened the case against Ruth Snyder and Judd Gray for the murder of Albert Snyder. He described the plan formed March 7 in Manhattan, the purchase of murder tools, and the staged kitchen room scene before the couple fled toward Syracuse.
