Colonel Funk Dies Suddenly in Shenandoah Valley
Colonel Funk a long-time Winchester resident dies suddenly at his brother William G Funk’s home on the Valley Turnpike aged 59. He suffered illness since December and died in a chair after gasping while his nephew Edward Funk attempted aid. He was native to Shenandoah county, unmarried, survived by his brother, a sister in Covington, and an aunt in Winchester.
