Missing Confederate veteran found in Martinsburg
W. Va. dispatch reports W. E. Ramey an eighty year old Confederate veteran who wandered from his Luray home. He turned up in Martinsburg after being thought drowned, talking of visiting daughters in Mount Jackson and Hagerstown. He was described as rational with money, and left for Hagerstown after lodging in a Martinsburg boarding house.

Auto overturn injures six on East Rockingham turnpike
Two men were badly hurt and four others suffered minor cuts and bruises when an automobile overturned at a bend on the East Rockingham turnpike near Penn Laird. Eugene Shiffilett fractured a collarbone and was taken to Rockingham Memorial Hospital. Kemper Dean dislocated an arm and suffered facial bruising. Dean, Asbury Bean, Lemuel Lam and Ward Shifflett had minor injuries. The car was badly damaged.
