Pastor and Family Welcome Neff to Winchester Church
Rev. J. Luther Neff arrived as pastor of Market Street Methodist Episcopal Church succeeding Rev. Mumford. He came from Chevy Chase with Mrs. Neff and their two sons Bobbie and Carl, met by local greeters and welcomed warmly by the Ladies Aid Society at the parsonage. Neffs settle in, with help from church members, before preaching his first Barter Sanday sermon. The new pastor, a 1915 Dickinson College alumnus from Carlisle, is ordained in the Methodist Episcopal Church.
