Kansas City officials said the Narotics Bureau cracked a coast to coast narcotics ring led by J Anslinger. 13 suspects were arrested in Kansas City New York Oklahoma and Missouri including a Kansas City patrolman linked to the Boss Tom Pendergast machine. About 500000 grains or 1000000 doses were seized and the operation described as sprawling across the Midwest with Kans City as a central distribution point.
