The City Council postponed action on the Southern States Winchester Cooperative Inc application to build a bulk petroleum storage facility on W Amherst St to next month. The Planning and Zoning Commission had front setback changes approved and preliminary plat approval for Jackson Woods Estates and Recreation Department tennis and volleyball courts near Rouss Springs. Public Health plans include a sanitary survey with sanitarian help from the Winchester office. Northern Virginia Power Co will upgrade downtown lighting with 57 lamps rising to 10 000 lumens at an estimated $100 monthly cost.
