Handley School Cadet Band To Broadcast Over WJSV
Handley High School Cadet Band and Handley Quartette will air the Winchester Chamber of Commerce program from Mount Vernon Hills station WJSV 4 to 5 p.m. tomorrow. Garland R. Charles E. Painter formerly of Frederick County and later of Philadelphia died in Winchester about 2:30 AM while visiting relatives on West Boscawen Street. He was born near Woodstock in 1859 and aged 72. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Sunday at the Richards home with interment in Green Hill Cemetery Stephens City.

Harman Dies Suddenly in Rockingham County
Relatives in Harrisonburg learn of the death of L. Bryan Harman at his home on the Rawley Springs road west of the city. He was about 72, had long illness, and leaves two daughters Bennett and Louise Harman. Funeral tomorrow at ten with interment in Harrisonburg cemetery.

Native of Clarke Dies At Broadway
Fiam C Nisewander aged 78 town sergeant and former Broadway mayor died at his home on North Main Street after a short illness due to heart disease. Born in Clarke County in 1852 he moved with his parents to Shenandoah and Rockingham counties later settling near Broadway. He traveled for Deering Harvester Co and was town sergeant since 1922. He served as mayor about 40 years ago and again from 1901 to 1902. He was a longtime town council member and a ruling elder of Broadway Presbyterian Church.

Colored Boy Sent To Reform School
James Briscoe a colored youth of Winchester persisted in breaking into the store of W B Snider and Son on North Camerot street. After a second conviction he was turned over to the Department of Public Welfare by Judge Donald Leems. Bunny Cain Severely Injured In Auto Mishap
Albert Bunny Cain son of Mr and Mrs Harry Cain of 515 South Street was struck by a car in front of Harris store on National Avenue Wednesday. He suffered fractures in two bones of the left arm along with several head and body cuts and bruises. Treated at Memorial Hospital, he was later moved to his parents home. The driver M B Furr of Bluemont Virginia was driving the car. Cain was caught on the bumper and dragged a short distance before the vehicle stopped.
